What is an "Apostille"?The Convention Abolishing the Requirement for Authentication of Foreign Official Documents entered into force on July 14, 2007, which means that Korean documents that have received an apostille from the Department of Justice, Bureau of Overseas Korean Affairs, will be recognized as having the same force and effect as local documents in countries that have signed the Convention.
